Start the season strong with a full refresh on rifle safety, fundamentals, and shooting positions. Students will also learn step-by-step how to properly zero their scope at 100 yards, ensuring accuracy and confidence before moving into more advanced training.
About WAW Next Gen Sessions
WAW Next Gen is designed for youth who already have a foundation in shooting and outdoor safety, and are ready to continue building real-world skills. Each month, we rotate between rifle, shotgun, and archery sessions, with every class focusing on a single topic (for example: rifle zeroing, dove hunting prep, or 3D archery).
What Parents Can Expect
Classroom + Range Format: Each session begins with a short classroom refresh, followed by a full hands-on range activity.
Drop-Off or Stay: Parents are welcome to stay for the day, or drop off and pick up after the session concludes.
Lunch Included: We provide lunch, drinks, and snacks for all participants. Please note any dietary restrictions when registering.
Equipment: Students are encouraged to bring their own rifle, shotgun, or bow if they have one. Limited loaner equipment is available by request.
Experience Level: These are not beginner classes. All participants should already have completed basic firearm or archery instruction, either with Wicked Addiction Wilderness or another qualified program (KOSC).
Safety First: Strict adherence to range safety rules is required at all times. Instructors are present throughout both classroom and range time to provide oversight and coaching.
Program Flow
Morning: Quick safety review, classroom focus on the day’s skill (example: how to zero a rifle).
Midday: Range activity applying the skill in real scenarios.
Afternoon: Group practice, challenges, and wrap-up with key takeaways.
